The Great Wall

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِي

It is not that simple;
of letting the world go;
if the soul creates an illusionary wall.

If gold and stone is not the same to you;
no rest shall you find;
for inner peace is attained through detachment;

Woe o soul!;
for creating this illusion;
non existing walls of brilliance;

Now I know;
this is what happens when there is no spirit;
and only letters;

Four corners; four mute walls;
staring menacingly at me;
inside is prison, outside is prison;
Where shall I go?



Bukan semudahnya
Melepaskan dunia
Jika jiwa mencipta tembok kepalsuan

Empat penjuru, empat tembok bisu
memandang kejam padaku
Di dalam penjara, di luar penjara
Manakah tempatku mengadu..

Renungan

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِي

Suatu hari, Imam Al-Ghazali berkumpul dengan murid-muridnya lalu beliau bertanya (Teka Teki ) :

Imam Ghazali = " Apakah yang paling dekat dengan diri kita di dunia ini ?
Murid 1 = " Orang tua "
Murid 2 = " Guru "
Murid 3 = " Teman "
Murid 4 = " Kaum kerabat "
Imam Ghazali = " Semua jawapan itu benar. Tetapi yang paling dekat dengan kita ialah MATI . Sebab itu janji Allah bahawa setiap yang bernyawa pasti akan mati ( Surah Ali-Imran :185).

Imam Ghazali = " Apa yang paling jauh dari kita di dunia ini ?"
Murid 1 = " Negeri Cina "
Murid 2 = " Bulan "
Murid 3 = " Matahari "
Murid 4 = " Bintang-bintang "
Iman Ghazali = " Semua jawaban itu benar. Tetapi yang paling benar adalah MASA LALU. Bagaimanapun kita, apapun kenderaan kita, tetap kita tidak akan dapat kembali ke masa yang lalu. Oleh sebab itu kita harus menjaga hari ini, hari esok dan hari-hari yang akan datang dengan perbuatan yang sesuai dengan ajaran Agama".

Iman Ghazali = " Apa yang paling besar didunia ini ?"
Murid 1 = " Gunung "
Murid 2 = " Matahari "
Murid 3 = " Bumi "
Imam Ghazali = " Semua jawaban itu benar, tapi yang besar sekali adalah HAWA NAFSU (Surah Al A'raf: 179). Maka kita harus hati-hati dengan nafsu kita, jangan sampai nafsu kita membawa ke neraka."

IMAM GHAZALI" Apa yang paling berat didunia? "
Murid 1 = " Baja "
Murid 2 = " Besi "
Murid 3 = " Gajah "
Imam Ghazali = " Semua itu benar, tapi yang paling berat adalah MEMEGANG AMANAH (Surah Al-Azab : 72 ). Tumbuh-tumbuhan, binatang, gunung, dan malaikat semua tidak mampu ketika Allah SWT meminta mereka menjadi khalifah pemimpin) di dunia ini. Tetapi manusia dengan sombongnya berebut-rebut menyanggupi permintaan Allah SWT sehingga banyak manusia masuk ke neraka kerana gagal memegang amanah."

Imam Ghazali = " Apa yang paling ringan di dunia ini ?"
Murid 1 = " Kapas"
Murid 2 = " Angin "
Murid 3 = " Debu "
Murid 4 = " Daun-daun"
Imam Ghazali = " Semua jawaban kamu itu benar, tapi yang paling ringan sekali didunia ini adalah MENINGGALKAN SOLAT . Gara-gara pekerjaan kita atau urusan dunia, kita tinggalkan solat "

Imam Ghazali = " Apa yang paling tajam sekali di dunia ini? "
Murid- Murid dengan serentak menjawab = " Pedang "
Imam Ghazali = " Itu benar, tapi yang paling tajam sekali didunia ini adalah LIDAH MANUSIA. Kerana melalui lidah, manusia dengan mudahnya menyakiti hati dan melukai perasaan saudaranya sendiri "

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِي

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِي

Lord,

Grant us the serenity to accept things we cannot change;
the courage to change the things we can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.

for certainly You are the all Knowing, the most Wise.
we are only hoping for Your mercy and compassion,
it is only to You that we complain of our weaknesses,
our shame; our wrongs, be it open or secret;

O Lord,
Let not our hearts deviate from the Truth.

Aid us for certainly only You are the aider;
Give us success for only from You comes success;
Forgive us for only You are the forgiver;
and Bless us O You who bestows blessing,
and we ask of You for sustenance, for certainly You are the Giver.

O Lord,
Grant us the remembrance to remember always; lest we forget.

What matters

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِي

Say Bismillah, In the name of God,
as the priest does with a knife when he offers an animal.

Bismillah your old self
to find your real name.


There are many people with their eyes open whose hearts are shut.
What do they see?
Matter.
But someone whose love is alert, even if the eyes go to sleep, he or she will be waking up thousands of others.


Hidden from all eyes and ears
let us tell each other of our soul.
Smile like a rose with no lips
and keep silent like a thought.

Let us speak silently the secret like Spirit
and avoid talkers who use words in vain.

Let us join our hands
listen to every flutter of our heart
let us become one in silence.

Divine destiny knows our fate
to the last detail.
Let our story be told in a silent way.

Fooled.. no more

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِي
In a poem titled Self-Portrait he says remembering the bayt-ar-Ridwan:

When half a thousand years and more
Had passed, and men allegiance swore
To the Arab Prophet, beneath the tree,
My willing hand was still not free
From bonds of time and space to be
Between his hands in fealty.

Such blessings missed, time was when I
Within myself would wonder why,
Half quarrelling with the book of fate
For having writ me down so late..
But now I no longer my lot
Can question, and of what was not.

No more I say: Would it had been!
For I have seen what I have seen,
And I have heard what I have heard.
So if to tears ye see me stirred,
Presume not that they spring from woe:
In thankful wonderment they flow.
Praise be to Him, the Lord, the King,
Who gives beyond all reckoning
